LEVEL 2: The people in this level are considered senior members of the community. These are the clients who are able to take a wider range of responsibility for themselves, for others and to fill positions of authority upon other members of the community. It is their responsibility to see that things are working within the community the way they are meant to. These clients are supposed to see that the goals of the previous levels are being carried out by clients at earlier stages of treatment. A major goal of this level is for the client to take responsibility upon himself and establish long term emotional stability which will serve him well when he leaves the community and takes his place in the outside world.
Completion of the following goals is a prerequisite for moving on to the next level:
- To set goals and to aim towards them
- To take a position of authority within the community
- To help newer clients and those at earlier stages of treatment
- To be able to withstand stress of a higher level
- To be express emotion without prompting and to work on feelings that arise, using tools learned previously in the community
- To strengthen personal independence and ability to deal with responsibility
- To further build and strengthen relationships with family
This level generally takes two months.
LEVEL 3: This level is the bridge between the work the client has done in the community and the outside world. The goal of this level is to gradually work his way into the outside world. The clients on this level are a source of strength and encouragement to clients who are newer to the program, showing them what can be accomplished through the work in the community. The main objective of clients who have achieved this level is to have a weekly schedule. This includes work or school outside the community, having a place to live, continuing sessions with the therapist he had while in treatment, and attending at least three 12-step meetings every week.
*In special cases, a tailored/custom program can be developed for people with special needs or requirements. This includes but is not limited to: special dietary needs, adverse behavioral issues, medication incapacitations, language barriers, etc.
